Nothing is healthier and more inviting than a fresh salad. How do you get your kids to eat it? The trick is in the dressing. If the dressing is too acidic or too oily, or too anything, the kids won’t touch the salad. If the balance is right, slightly sweet, and yummy, they clean their plates and ask for more.
I like this dressing over any combination of salad greens. It is awesome on my Marinated Kale Salad too!
This time-tested recipe came from my mother, who has always made awesome salads, but like every Mom I tweak it for my own kids.
Yours will love it too.
Salad Dressing

Ingredients:
- Olive Oil - 1/3 cup
- apple cider vinegar - 4 tbsp
- dill - 1/2 tsp
- garlic - 1 clove, pressed
Garlic is a powerful antiviral, antibacterial, and natural antibiotic. Garlic produces a chemical called allicin which promotes the production of white blood cells which help fight against toxins.
- tamari - a splash
- orange - 1/2- squeeze
- salt and pepper -
- honey - 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions:
Mix ingredients well.
I like to pop the dressing in the freezer for a little while before putting in on the salad. I find it makes it stick to the leaves better. In a pinch I just pour it right on....
